Communicating with Caring: A Program for Early Adolescents and Caregivers of Adolescents

The overall goal of this module is to provide a supportive structure for improving communication about sexuality between adults and the adolescents they are raising. The 20 program activities are organized in the following manner: Eleven are for adult caregivers, five for early adolescents, and four for both caregivers and adolescents. The activities impart sound information about human sexuality and help adults and adolescents build concrete skills to talk with each other about this most important issue. Includes videotape for classroom use that features live-action scenes depicting parent-child communication. This publication includes reproducible student handouts and transparencies.
